Idaho tramples Freedom of Speech

It is unbelievable that such censorship and blatant violation of First Amendment rights could happen in America! If this court's decision is allowed to stand, the consequences are truly scary!

the commission threatened to revoke the academy’s charter if it used the Bible or other religious books for any purpose whatsoever as part of the school’s classroom resource list. So let me get this straight. " other religious books for any purpose whatsoever as part of the school’s classroom resource list" means that in addition to the Bible, Muslem, Buddhist, Shinto, etc. materials will also be banned. So much for a comparative religion class. Also the study of Art will be greatly affected, EG: The Last Supper, the Sistine Chapel, and for that matter a picture of a Buddha will be likewise unallowable. I wonder what these Commissioners were smoking when they established these "remarkable, short-sighted guidelines?

It's amazing, isn't it? Sounds like something you'd expect out of the old Soviet Union!

Apparently we're terrified of ideas.
