Humor at the President's expense

After watching the CBS Evening News in which news anchor Walter Cronkite was critical of America's involvement in Vietnam, President Lyndon Johnson reportedly said something like, "If I've lost Walter, I've lost America."

I wonder if President Obama is beginning to feel the same way about his coverage on late night talk shows? Here are some samples making the rounds on the internet:

Q: Have you heard about McDonald's' new Obama Value Meal?
A: Order anything you like and the guy behind you has to pay for it.
--Conan O'Brien

Q: What does Barack Obama call lunch with a convicted felon?
A: A fund raiser.
--Jay Leno

Q: What's the difference between Obama's cabinet and a penitentiary?
A: One is filled with tax evaders, blackmailers, and threats to society. The other is for housing prisoners.
--David Letterman

Q: If Nancy Pelosi and Obama were on a boat in the middle of the ocean and it started to sink, who would be saved?
A: America !
--Jimmy Fallon

LOLOMGWTF!! The media has shifted. Of course it was bound to happen, particularly when a President elected because of his rhetorical skills is forced to deal with real world problems and generally seems to choose to avoid them.

Vote for not-Obama. Hillary, Gingrich, or Romney... just not Obama.
