A nuclear-free Middle East

According to the AFP wire service:
Washington's unprecedented backing for a UN resolution for a nuclear-freeMiddle East that singles out Israel has both angered and deeply worried the Jewish state although officials are cagey about openly criticising their biggest ally.
If we really wanted a nuclear free zone in the Middle East, the way forward would be:

1) to stop Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons,

2) get Pakistan to destroy all their nuclear weapons (of course they would never even think of such a thing unless India would do the same--and probably not even then),

3) get all Muslim countries to a) immediately stop supporting and actively interdict all terrorist activities against Israel, b) recognize Israel's right to exist, and c) establish full diplomatic relations with Israel.

Then after about 10 years of good will, we could see if Israel is ready to talk about its nukes.

Otherwise, calling for a nuclear free Middle East is simply a ploy by Muslim nations in their quest to destroy Israel. And the United States, under the Obama, Reid, Pelosi triumvirate is now complicit in their plot.

It is as saddening as it is sickening that we would stoop to selling out our ally in favor of a naive and futile attempt to appease enemies like Iran, Syria, Hezbollah, Hamas and the Taliban.
