Resolving the immigration crisis

If the Democrats were really interested in resolving the illegal immigration problem, why didn't they use some of the stimulus money to significantly expand immigration services so more legal immigrants can be processed and to cut down the incredibly long waiting period?

If it were possible to come to America within a reasonable period of time, not nearly so many honest people would be willing to risk their lives coming here illegally.

Could it be that Democrats have no interest in really resolving the problem at all? Could it be that it is to their political advantage to keep the crisis alive and fueled just like their ongoing race-baiting regularly continues to fuel real and imagined race tensions for political gain?

In the mean time, many good Hispanic people are caught in the middle, often at the mercy of ruthless drug smugglers, people smugglers and unscrupulous employers.
