Spending more than we make

According to the Wall Street Journal, the proposed Obama budget projects an income of 2.6 trillion dollars and expenditures of 3.8 trillion dollars. The Democrats propose to spend 1.2 trillion dollars more than they will bring in.

Imagine if you ran your household budget like this!

But hey, they don't care. It's not their money and while they might demand that corporate CEO's go to jail for such blatant mismanagement of shareholders' money, congresspeople are never held criminally accountable for their legislative malpractice.

We hear so much about the GOP being "the party of no". But it has been quite a while since I have seen or hear in the media "tax and spend" Democrats. Is this a minor ommission, or could we be experiencing some media bias? We can only "tax the rich" so long, before said "rich" decide to do something about it. Of course Obama can always lower his definition of "rich"; an action that would not surprise me. Hopefully with a projected Republican wave coming in the elections this fall, we MAY see a bit of restraint; "may" being the operative word. In the mean time let us hope/pray our 41st Senator, among others, will put a damper on the Democrat urge to spend, spend..
