Gun ownership up. Crime down.

According to the Christian Science Monitor:
The oft-cited credo that more guns equal more crime is being tested by facts on the ground this year: Even as gun ownership has surged in the US in the past year, violent crime, including murder and robbery, has dropped steeply.
The violent crime rate in Minneapolis has fallen for the third straight year in a row. The rates began falling only about a year and a half after Minnesota passed the Minnesota Citizens Personal Protection Act which allows licensed citizens to carry concealed weapons. Just a coincidence, I'm sure.
