Pornography in your library?

Want to look at pornography but don't have a computer and don't want to be seen going into a XXX establishment? No problem if you live in New York City. Just go to your Brooklyn Public Library!
(See Safe Libraries for the story).

It is not censorship for a public library to refuse access to pornography any more than it is censorship for them to refuse to carry subscriptions to hardcore pornographic magazines. If your public library refuses to filter their internet connections, the people of the community need to band together to vote down library levy's or to otherwise restrict or cut off funding to that library.

Librarians don't always pay attention to their patrons, but they do pay attention to funding.
