Democrats cut Medicare funding

Ed Morrissey notes,
Over the weekend, the Senate cut a key Medicare service aimed at invalids in an attempt to find the money to pay for ObamaCare. On a 53-41 vote, Senate Democrats cut $43 billion from home health-care services. Democrats insisted that they were cutting waste and abuse, but the end result will be less care for seniors.
Morrissey quotes a New York Times article which says,
By a vote of 53 to 41, the Senate on Saturday rejected a Republican effort to block cutbacks in payments to home health agencies that provide nursing care and therapy to homebound Medicare beneficiaries.
The cruel irony of the Democrat's plan is that the Medicare funding is often used to help those at the end of their lives spend their last days at home which also saves $5,000 to $10,000 per day in hospital costs!

And these Democrats are the ones who think they can manage our health care more efficiently!

Please read Ed Morrissey's excellent article on Hot Air.
