Unborn babies: Abortion and memory

ABC Nightly News just ran a story about studies that show that a baby develops memories even in the womb. Studies have demonstrated that newborn babies can remember their mother's voice from when they were in the womb but these new studies showed that as early as 34 weeks after conception, babies could remember the sound of a buzzer and learn to ignore it!

It seems to me that this should immediately change the entire abortion debate. Pro-choice advocates like to re-define and dehumanize pre-born babies as "products of conception" or "tissue." But mere "tissue" does not have memory! We are destroying the lives of millions of little people who are undeniably human, who feel pain, and who can remember.

UPDATE: Forbes has an article on the study.
