Obama lied, people died

I'm watching a report on TV this morning about 4,000 U.S. marines attacking the Taliban in Helmand province in Afghanistan. As I understand it, this just the latest of recent U.S. military operations in Afghanistan.

I wonder if we will soon be seeing large protests in the streets with people chanting, "Obama lied, people died."

I doubt it. It is hard to avoid the conclusion that the anti-war protests were not really anti-war. They were just anti-Bush.

I think we have to realize that the cards aren't going to change on Obama until the majority of the Media turns on him. Media controls minds. If you remember months and months after 9/11 and even when we invaded Iraq, Bush's approval rating was high and the media would rarely touch him. But that all changed because the media and America is fickle and impatient.

Obama will try as hard as he can to control the situation, the media, etc...but sooner or later things are going to get out, and I'm sure people will be singing a different tune.

Yes, how vey true Jason. As I indicated in a much earlier post, the "honeymoon" will end at some point. I have even begun to see media references to Afganistan becoming "Obama's Vietnam". And don't count the Taliban down and out of Iraq, just because we have chosen to arbitrarily draw down our troop strength. Alas oh dear, dear Obama-sia, me thinks you have fee of clay!
