Concealed weapons legislation

Congress voted on legislation today that would have required states to recognize a license to carry a concealed weapon issued by another state. The bill failed.

I actually agree with Democrats on this one. As much as I would like to see states recognize concealed license permits issued by other states, I think this is up to each state and should not be mandated by the federal government.

Let's just hope the Democrats are consistent and refuse to force states to recognize homosexual marriages in other states.

I'm not optimistic.

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for consistency. Wouldn't consistency require that the abortion issue also go back to the states?
