The numbers are fiction

According to an article in the Wall Street Journal,
"Saved or created" has become the signature phrase for Barack Obama as he describes what his stimulus is doing for American jobs. His latest invocation came yesterday, when the president declared that the stimulus had already saved or created at least 150,000 American jobs -- and announced he was ramping up some of the stimulus spending so he could "save or create" an additional 600,000 jobs this summer.
The same article points out that the numbers are pure fiction. There is absolutely no way to measure this. Yet, as the article points out, the media, which was so critical of George Bush, just lets this slide without question.

The main stream media has abandoned their responsibility of investigating and reporting, and has turned to campaigning. Far be it from them to question the Beloved Leader.
