National Sovereignty Day

The Iraqis just declared "National Sovereignty Day" marked by huge celebrations of their independence and freedom.

This landmark of Iraqi democracy, freedom and independence was due to the leadership of George W. Bush and the valliant efforts of our military men and women.

These efforts were opposed at every turn by the remnants of Saddam's brutal Ba'athists, radical Muslim terrorist insurgents...and the American Left including Democrats like Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Barack Obama.

Right. Well, the Iraqis are still under military occupation. In some cases, U.S. forces did not withdraw, opting instead to redraw city boundaries. And there are, of course, still 130,000 private American contractors in the country.

On the same day as the "withdrawal," Iraqi oil was being auctioned off to foreign investors.

In short, democracy, freedom and independence is a hell of a long way off. More here.
