Homeland Security Report and Holocaust Museum shooting

I'm hardly believing my ears. Fox's Shepherd Smith (and now Catherine Herridge) is praising the Homeland security report on right wing extremists arguing, essentially, that in light of the Holocaust Museum shooting, the Homeland Security report was right on the money.

The problem was NOT that the Homeland Security report was completely wrong. The problem was that the Homeland Security report made such broad generalizations that virtually anyone to the right of John McCain was suspect! The Homeland Security report on Left wing extremists did not make such sweeping generalizations.

Casting such a broad net actually hurts security. Its like saying, watch out for white people because white supremacists tend to be white. Perhaps if the Homeland Security report had been more specific, someone would have identified this deranged shooter before it was too late.
