Religious discrimination in the stimulus package

From the American Center for Law and Justice:
Our legislative team has unearthed a little noticed provision in the economic stimulus bill that is simply unacceptable. There's a provision in Section 803 of the measure that provides money for the modernization of university facilities. However, as written, the stimulus bill would prohibit schools that accept this funding from allowing religious activity to take place in those facilities.
You might think this is just a separation of church and state issue. It's not. The courts have ruled that if other student groups can use such facilities, religious groups must also be allowed to use the same facilities. Since the courts would not uphold bigoted anti-Christian discrimination, the Democrats seek to achieve the same ends by different means.

See the ACLJ website for the whole story.
