Obama is keeping his promise

According to OneNewsNow:
President-elect Barack Obama is moving swiftly to appoint homosexual activists to positions within his administration.

Politico.com reports that 10 national homosexual organizations are working with the Obama transition team to get more openly homosexual people appointed to the incoming administration. Obama's transition team has also reportedly named at least seven openly homosexual people to transition panels assigned to review federal departments and agencies.

Now that the anti-science, superstition-based initiative presidency ends, we need several public works science Manhattan projects to make us great again and boost us out of this Grotesque Depression. First we must provide free advertising-based wireless internet to everyone to end land line monopolies. Then we must criscross the land with high speed rail. Because bovine flatulence is the major source of greenhouse gases, we must develop home growable microbes to provide all of our protein. Then we must create microbes which turn our sewage and waste into fuel right at home. This will end energy monopoly by putting fuel in our hands. We must address that most illness starts from behavior, especially from parents. Since paranoid schizophrenia is the cause of racism, bigotry, homelessness, terrorism, ignorance, exploitation and criminality, we must provide put the appropriate medications, like lithium, in the water supply and require dangerous wingnuts who refuse free mental health care to be implanted with drug release devices. CHurches should be licensed to reduce supersition and all clergy dealing with small children should be psychiatrically monitored to prevent molesting. Osama bin Laden and Timothy McVeigh were the ultimate superstition based initiatives. Widen navigation straits (Gibraltar, Suez, Malacca, Danube, Panama and Hellspont) with deep nukes to prevent war. In order to fund this we must nationalize the entire financial, electrical and transportation system and extinguish the silly feudal notion that each industry should be regulated by its peers. Technology mandates a transformation of tax subsidies from feudal forecloseable debt to risk sharing equity. Real estate and insurance, the engines of feudalism, must be brought under the Federal Reserve so we may replace all buildings with hazardous materials to provide public works. Insects, flooding and fire spread asbestos, lead and mold which prematurely disables the disadvantaged. Disposable manufactured housing assures children are not prematurely disabled and disadvantaged. Because feudalism is the threat to progress everywhere, we must abolish large land holdings by farmers, foresters or religions and instead make all such large landholding part of the forest service so our trees may diminish greenhouse gases. We must abolish executive pay and make sure all employees in a company are all paid equally. We must abolish this exploitative idea of trade and monopoly and make every manufactured disposable cottage self sufficient through the microbes we invent.

If I were to create a caricature of my view of the left, it would be Vernon! He wants to “provide free advertising-based wireless internet to everyone” and “criscross the land with high speed rail.”

Of course he doesn’t mention who would pay for this or how we could possibly afford it, or who would run it. Presumably he would want the government to run it so it would be run with the efficiency of government public housing, the V.A. hospitals or Social Security.

Then Vernon wants to “address that most illness starts from behavior, especially from parents.” That’s right. It’s never our fault. It must be someone else. It must be our parents’ fault!

So Vernon’s solution is to “provide put the appropriate medications, like lithium, in the water supply” and if you refuse to drink it or accept government mental health counseling, you will be forcibly implanted “with drug release devices.”

And of course, just like the former Soviet Union or modern Communist China, all “churches should be licensed to reduce superstition.” That way the government can control what is being taught in the churches—kind of like the hate crimes laws in some countries control what is said about homosexual behavior.

Then “all clergy dealing with small children should be psychiatrically monitored to prevent molesting.” No mention, however, of psychiatrically monitoring public school teachers even though the molestation of children by public school teachers is a much more serious problem!

Then we need to nationalize the entire financial, electrical and transportation system.” Of course we do, presumably because we saw how well that worked in the Soviet Union and in North Korea.

Then “we must abolish large land holdings by farmers, foresters or religions.” Like any totalitarian regime, of course we have to take the property and land away from everyone who was productive in society because after all, all rich, productive people are obviously evil oppressors of the masses.

Finally, Vernon says “We must abolish executive pay and make sure all employees in a company are all paid equally.”

That’s right. The janitor and cashiers should be paid the same as the company managers, executives and CEO. Forget the fact that these janitors and cashiers may not know squat about running a company.

Forget the fact that the cashiers and janitors may not have spent thousands of dollars on the education necessary to run such a company, not to mention all the stress and time away from doing the fun things they might have wanted to do while getting that education.

Forget the fact that these executives may work 50 or 60 hours a week.

Forget the fact that these executives often must carry the stress of the company home with them while janitors and cashiers do not.

And forget the fact that if everyone were paid the same, no one in their right mind would put up with all the stress and financial drain of getting an education and the endless stress and hassle of management when you could get paid the same amount just by putting in your time and going home?

Vernon’s ideas are so ridiculous it is hard to know whether he was even serious. But, unfortunately, there are millions of Americans who seem to share at least some of Vernon’s ideas to various degrees---which is probably one reason so many people, like Vernon, supported Barack Obama for President.
