Mormons threatened with white powder

Proposition 8, which defined marriage as between a man and a women, passed in California in no small part due to the efforts of the Mormon Church. In response, gay activists have been making threats against the Mormon Church and now letters containing white powder have shown up at the headquarters in Salt Lake City and at a Mormon temple in California.

The powder was later found to be non-toxic, but even to send a hoax threat is a violation of federal law.

To its credit, "The Utah Pride Center, a gay rights group, put out its own statement calling the powder hoaxes and acts of vandalism "deplorable" (OneNewsNow).

I agree.
