Obama and terrorists

The Los Angeles Times says they have a videotape of "Barack Obama toasting former PLO spokesman Rashid Khalidi, at a party attended by radical Palestinian activists and former Weather Underground terrorists Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn" (LGF, Fox).

They refuse to release the video.

It seems to me that this is potentially explosive and that not releasing the video should be more damaging than releasing it. We are now left with nothing but speculation. For example:

Does this video prove that Obama lied when he said that Ayers was just a guy in his neighborhood (we already know he lied about that and then tried to cover it up).

Does this video show Obama taking a hardline pro-Islamic extremist, anti-Israel stance?

Does this video show Obama sympathizing with PLO and other terrorists? (One thing we've learned about politicians is that they will say almost anything to get elected. We want to know what they's said before they were campaigning)!

Is the content of this video so damaging to Obama that the LA Times--certainly no right wing newspaper!--knows that if it were released, Obama's campaign would be over?

It just proves the power of the media. The LA Times endorsed That One and is claiming confidentiality to the source of the video. Maybe this will be the October surprise in November if the transcripts are revealed.

If I remember correctly, Richard Nixon boasted, prior to his election, that he had a plan to end the Vietnam War. I suspect the LA Times, like many of its sister publications, has experienced a decline in circulation. They are probably hoping (dreaming?) that this thus far unsubstantiated claim will improve there bottom line. But in order to do this, they feel compelled to feed us a line!
