Back alley abortions

When abortion advocates argue against the overturning of Roe v. Wade, they often resort to scare tactics by bringing up (fabricated) statistics about back alley abortions. They don't seem to be the least bit concerned about all the women who are harmed in abortion mills. For example, see here and here and here and here and here and here.

The fact is that most abortion advocates are apparently not really concerned about the welfare of women (if they were, we'd hear their outrage over these and other cases), they just use the (fabricated) back alley abortion statistics as a club to get their way.

just because there are a few examples of malpractice does not mean that all abortions are not safe.
it all comes back to a simple form of misused statistics.
you cannot use a few extreme cases of malpractice (or a few extreme cases of dangerous back-alley abortions) to fight a case.
abortion mills, malpractice, back-alley cases, etc., are exactly why roe vs. wade should stay and abortion should stay legal.
so we dont migrate back to back-alley abortions and dont have so many cases of malpractice just because a woman is so desperate not to be pregnant.
the point is that if abortion could be accepted as one of those necessary evils, there would be no malpractice or unsafe abortions, because there would be safe clinics where women could go to have a safe abortion from a certified and practiced doctor.

But that's all you're side had was a few cases of back alley abortions, from which abortion proponents fabricated enormous estimates of what you assumed was taking place in back alleys!

You didn't have any hard data. Just fabricated statistics from pro-death idologues.

You wrote that "if abortion could be accepted as one of those necessary evils, there would be no malpractice or unsafe abortions, because there would be safe clinics where women could go to have a safe abortion from a certified and practiced doctor."

But since Roe v. Wade, abortion HAS been accepted as one of those necessary evils, but as my links show, there are still botched abortions! Women's lives are still in danger!

It doesn't matter how skilled the doctor is or how legal the clinic is, no abortion is completely safe and risk free. None.

But my point was that if pro-abortion advocates were really so concerned about the safety of women, why aren't they demanding investigations into unsafe abortion practices at the abortion mills?

The answer is that some pro-abortion advocates were not really concerned about the saftey of women at all. They just fabricated statistics about back alley abortions in an attempt to stir up emotions in order to get their way. It worked. And they've been hauling in tons of money by killing babies ever since!

You're only looking at one side of the story. Neaarly 100% of the babies involved in abortions are killed....and if Barack Obama had his way, the ones who live through it would be left to die in some cold, stainless steel pan.
