Palin and Pilate

On the floor of the House of Representatives today, Democratic Representative Steve Cohen actually compared Governor Sarah Palin to Pontius Pilate, saying that Jesus was a community organizer and that Pilate was a governor! He is not the only Democrat to make that claim. Democratic Representative Donna Brazile has also made the comparison (Politico).

And then there was South Carolina Democratic Chairwoman who said that Sarah Palin’s “primary qualification seems to be that she hasn’t had an abortion.” (Politico).

It is important to note that these statements were not made by fringe looney-tones like Michael Moore or Rosie O’Donnell. It was prominent, mainstream Democratic political figures who spewed this ignorant hatred!

It appears that Sarah Palin has the Democratic party in a state of melt-down.

Wow... they really have bought into that whole Obamassiah thing.

I agree with your analysis... the Democrats are scrambling to figure out how to handle this situation, they're trying bide their time to find some sort of dirt or angle.

While I too share the excitement generated by Palin's selection, I am waiting anxiously to see how she does in a televised debate against what's his name--the Democrat VP candidate.

Professor ed,

That's certainly going to be a David (Sarah) vs. Goliath (what's his name) encounter. After all, what's-his-name has 30 years of experience in the Senate.

Hmmm, the Senate. Wasn't Marcus Junius Brutus, the assassin of Julius Caesar, a Senator? And Biden too is a Senator!

(this is no less rediculous than the Left comparing Sarah Palin with Pilate the governor).

Anyway, in my opinnion, if Sarah can even stay even with Biden in the debate, she will have scored an enormous victory.

But Biden has admitted that he isn't a good debater, and she apparently is. Plus, she's smart. I'm sure she's studying like crazy to get prepared.

Besides, lets be honest, all she has to do is be defensive and hold her own. Those debates really don't do much.

It will be a very interesting debate... Biden seems to say what he thinks, which is good... but it sure does get him into trouble.
