A national organization against women

The National Organization for Women has snubbed a woman candidate for Vice President in favor of a man who rejected a very qualified woman as his running mate.

How can this be? How could a woman Vice President NOT be good for women?

The main excuse given is often abortion. I was recently listening to a female caller to a radio talk show who argued that Sarah Palin would overturn Roe v. Wade, make abortion illegal, and force women into back alleys for illegal abortions!

Although NOW knows this is not true, they are undoubtedly very happy to let people think this. What many people fail to realize is that even if Sarah Palin were, by some miracle, able to bring about the overturning of Roe v. Wade--that would not make abortion illegal in America. All it would do is force the people of each state to decide what they were going to do about abortion.

The people of each state would get to choose. The irony is that pro-choice people do not want the people of each state to have a choice!

So it seems that if the National Organization for Women was really about promoting women, they have an outstanding opportunity to do so in Sarah Palin. But NOW is really not a national organization for women, as much as they are a national organization for promoting Leftist agendas. They do this by using women as a front, much like a sleazy man might use a so-called “trophy wife” to further his ulterior agendas.
