Acorn removed from bailout

My understanding is that thanks to the hard work by congressional Republicans, the scandalous provision to provide money to Acorn and other radical community groups has been removed from the bailout bill.

When House Republican John Boehner was asked about the effect John McCain's return to Washington had, Boehner said "if it were not for John McCain supporting me at the White House when I said whoa, whoa, time-out, they would have run over me like a freight train."

So when Democrats say that John McCain hindered the bailout process, what they apparently mean is that McCain hindered their efforts to screw the American people even more by including pet provisions like the funding of radical (and pro-Democrat, of course) community activist groups as part of the bailout!
