The news this morning is that John McCain has now repudiated another Evangelical pastor: Rod Parsley. Almost everything I know about Rod Parsley would fit comfortably in a thimble, but according to ABC News, Parsley called Islam, “the mouthpiece of a conspiracy of spiritual evil,” and that Islam is an “anti-Christ religion that intends through violence to conquer the world.”
In other words, Rod Parsley told the truth and because it was inconvenient to the McCain campaign, McCain threw him under the bus. While there are peaceful Muslims, Islam is not a peaceful religion. America is not well served by covering up the truth in the name of political correctness or campaign expediency.
McCain should be careful lest in November Evangelicals decide to stay home leaving Obama to become president.

From what I know, which is just a slightly bigger thimble :) he advocates violently overthrowing Islam, which is just as bad as Islam advocating to violently overthrow Christianity, if you ask me.
I got this from here:

2008/03/john-mccain-rod-parsley-spiritual-guide.html
"I do not believe our country can truly fulfill its divine purpose until we understand our historical conflict with Islam. I know that this statement sounds extreme, but I do not shrink from its implications. The fact is that America was founded, in part, with the intention of seeing this false religion destroyed, and I believe September 11, 2001, was a generational call to arms that we can no longer ignore." -Parsley
The article does say: "Without specifying what actions should be taken to eradicate the religion, he essentially calls for a new crusade."
So, it may not be a violent crusade?
