Rush Limbaugh and Hillary

I heard that Rush Limbaugh is encouraging his supporters in Texas to support Hillary Clinton in order to keep her in the race and contine the fight between her and Obama. I guess the idea is that the more Hillary and Obama destroy each other, the more it benefits the Republicans.

Frankly, I like watching Hillary and Obama lessening their changers of being elected as much as the next guy, but I think what Rush is doing is dirty politics and undermines the democratic process. Play fair!

Guess I'd never make it in politics.

Actually, that's not quite right. Rush is advocating we keep Hillary in because Republicans have more or less refused to fight Obama on items of genuine concern. They've been hiding in the corner afraid of being called racists or biggots and up until now allowed the media to declare what is and is not fair game. As a result, Hillary is doing the "necessary" task of tarnishing Obama's image to the point where he may be vulnerable to policy debates later. Right now, no Republicans appear particularly willing to engage Obama.

You may be right. The Republican's time to take on Obama will come soon enough. They've been happy to let Hillary do it for the time being. But I think he was advocating that Republicans vote for Hillary in the Texas primary. That's the part I thought was dirty politics.

While I don't agree with doing what Rush suggests, I don't think it is unfair or dirty to participate legally within the rules.

I don't see how it was dirty politics considering McCain was the recepient of many Democrat votes in the Republican primaries. It's just a part of the normally primary process.

SO glad to hear you say that! I couldn't agree more :)

Some Ohioans are being investigated because it was illegal in that state.
