Gloria Steinem disses POW record

Campaigning for Hillary Clinton Saturday, radical feminist Gloria Steinem dissed McCain’s time as a POW saying, "I mean, hello? This is supposed to be a qualification to be president? I don't think so," (NYSun).

That’s about as tactless and clueless as saying, “Hillary was just a housewife! That’s supposed to be qualifications for President? I don’t think so.”

McCain’s experience as a POW means that unlike Hillary, Obama or even George Bush, McCain knows what its like to be in the military and he knows what its like to be tortured, so, presumably he would not take sending our troops into battle lightly.

But the real experience comes from the fact that McCain has more than twice as much experience in Congress as Hillary and Obama combined! That should probably count for something.

So why is Billary on a negative role; losing primary after primary? Maybe one reason is taking "help" from a lose cannon like Ms. Gloria! I remember when Theresa Heinz Kerry made a few "remarkable" statements during her husband's campaign for the top job. Shortly thereafter her public efforts on the circut became VERY LIMITED, at most. Maybe Senator Clinton should recall the old saying: "you are known by the company you keep".

Steinem is a disasteful person in general. The problem is, McCain has made his time as a POW a fairly major component of his campaign and he has brought it up frequently. It would be silly to assume that it wouldn't become political fodder for the opposition.

Hillary's feminist ladies have gotten out of control, attacking both McCain and Obama in horrendous ways. I am ashamed of them.
