Obama and nukes

According to an article in the Associated Press, Barack Obama wants to eliminate nuclear weapons:
The United States shouldn't unilaterally disarm, he said, but it must work
with other nations to phase out weapons and control atomic material.

"Here's what I'll say as president: 'America seeks a world in which there
are no nuclear weapons,'" Obama said.

Wouldn't we all like to live in a world in which there were no nuclear weapons? Unfortunately, now that Pandora's box is open, it is a fantasy to think we would be safer to scrap our nuclear weapons. It would be impossible to ensure that all nuclear weapons and material had been elilminated, but but once ours were gone, we would be at the mercy of our enemies.

Barack Obama's naiveté makes him a very dangerous candidate. (hat tip: Jason)
