Muhammad in Denmark

Oh, my goodness!!! Whether you agree with what the've done or not, you've got to give those Danes credit for guts! See Gates of Vienna or LGF.

I don't have to give them credit for anything. Frankly, I find it really annoying. Today it’s Mohammed, tomorrow it could be Jesus. If I placed myself in the Muslims' shoes, I'd be unhappy that someone said this about my religion:

From the translation on the video
Now a new evil has arrived in Europe, an evil that lies and kills in the name of their so-called God. An evil that springs from the so-called Prophet Mohammed. Therefore, in our time, it is he who symbolizes evil and it is not just one harvest that will disappear, but all of Western Europe’s future that will vanish if this evil is not dispatched to Hekkenfeldt [i.e. Hell, literally the Hekla volcano in Iceland — BB].

The solution of dealing with Islamic fascism and extremism isn’t to go and provoke all Muslims. Compared to the cartoon caper of the last few years, this is intentionally set up to anger Muslims. It’s like it’s designed to give Muslims justification for rioting and acting poorly. Why would someone do that? I can understand being upset about the political correctness that has washed over the world, but this is just a thinly veiled attempt to insult Muslims.

Truthfully, if these people wanted to challenge the fascism that some of the Muslims advocate, then they’d write letters, vote, and seek to change their government’s softballing of these difficult issues. They’d work to have meaningful change and enlighten the public as to the dangers that Islamic fascism brings. They wouldn’t just upset all Muslims (moderate and extreme alike) or roll them all into the terrorist/evil group.

When they do something like this, they insult all religions; theirs and ours.

Robert, every once in awhile I'm pleasantly surprised by you. Thanks for being a voice of reason against Dennis' glee about this event.

Robert, people have been saying things against Christianity for a long, long time now. Maybe you hadn't noticed since Christians don't riot in the streets over it :-)

John, I was not expressing glee. It was more of an amazement that the Danes have stood their ground and refused to have their freedom of speech silenced by the violent intimidation of radical Islam. I would think that would be something for which liberals would rejoice.
