Terrorists and the media

I've been reading American Jihad; the terrorists living among us, and recently finished reading Holy War on the Home Front. Both are well documented and demonstrate that Jihadists have been using our freedoms to set up cells all over America. Why are we hearing so little about this on the national news? Perhaps they're too busy covering other stories, like Anna Nicole or wayward astronauts.
