Our Russian ally

In a time when Iran may turn out to be one of the most dangerous threats to world peace since Nazi Germany, our “ally,” Russia, is providing Iran with a sophisticated air defense system (Jerusalem Post). Russia insists that this is only for defensive purposes but that excuse conveniently sidesteps the point—if Iran continues to develop nuclear weapons, Russia’s defense system will only hinder any efforts by the United States or Israel to stop them. A nuclear Iran would be the world’s worst nightmare.

Isn’t it long past time to give up our delusional thinking and stop pretending that Russia is an ally?
