Will the torture never stop?! News reports are now coming out of Gitmo that prisoners are being mistreated again. No, bamboo shoots are not being rammed under their fingernails. Electric prods are not being applied to their genitals. Worse! They are being over-fed and are actually gaining weight! (gasp)!
Human rights groups claim that they are not getting enough exercise but those who behave themselves have access to "treadmills, stationary bikes and other fitness equipment" (AP)

Don't we need more rock crushers? Couldn't we just link them all to a steel chain and then make them bust rocks in the yard for exercise? Then we could sell the busted rock for gravel and help pay their debt while they're there.
Robert what a capital (capitalist?) idea! What about license plates for Washington DC cars? Or, better yet, why couldn't they make Diplomatic plates for diplomats living in DC or at the UN?
Then the United States would be accused of capturing these men not because they are terrorists or enemy combatants but because we want cheap slave labor.
I say we offer to give the same wages as the average Chinese factory worker. However, they should be billed for their incarceration. We’re not looking for slave labor, but if they’re expecting a free ride, they ought to forget it.
It's amazing to me that you could make light of such practices as waterboarding and other forms of torture, which Congress has just made legal after the fact. And some people claim Christianity is a religion of peace.
Comrade explain your statement. No one in this thread has supported waterboarding. I am not sure exactly what you mean by "Christianity is a religion of peace" in this context.
